Colin Zvaniga is Chief Operating Officer at Mawer Investment Management Ltd., which he joined in 2016. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Zvaniga helps to ensure seamless operations across the firm, with a particular focus on risk management, operational efficiency, and enhancing client experience. He works closely with all departments, with Investment Operations, Fund Administration, Business Technology, Human Resources, Finance, and Facilities reporting directly to him. In addition, Mr. Zvaniga is a member of Mawer’s executive committee and management committee, which drive the development and execution of the firm’s strategic plans.
Prior to joining Mawer, Mr. Zvaniga was VP, Senior Technology Officer at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) from 2012-2016, where he led AIMco’s Business Technology, Enterprise Project Management Office; Planning, Security, and Controls teams; as well as all technical operations. Previously, he was Chief Information Officer for the Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres (OACCAC) from 2007-2012, where he led the delivery of a shared services technology and operations function for Ontario’s Homecare Sector.
Mr. Zvaniga earned a Master of Business Administration from Queens University in 2012, and a Master's Designation in Health Administration from the Schulich School of Business from York University in 2008. He is currently completing his Doctor of Business Administration at the University of Calgary.
