David Buchanan is the Director of Individual Client Management at Mawer Investment Management Ltd., which he joined in 2023.  Mr. Buchanan is responsible for leading the firm’s Individual Client Management team strategy as well as leading a team of highly qualified and professional investment counsellors. 

Previously, Mr. Buchanan was a Managing Director at RBC PH&N Investment Counsel where he was responsible for leading a team of investment counsellors across five offices in Ontario.  Prior to that, David has held multiple senior positions at RBC including Vice President of High Net Worth Initiatives, Vice President of Business Transition Strategies.     

Mr. Buchanan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa and brings over 23 years of experience in the financial services sector with the last 15 years in wealth management.
