Nicole Swales is an investment counsellor at Mawer Investment Management Ltd., which she joined in 2015. Based in Toronto, Ms. Swales is responsible for the management of private client investment portfolios.
Prior to joining Mawer, Ms. Swales was a vice president within the Private Client Group at Barometer Capital Management. Previously, she worked in institutional equity sales at National Bank Financial and Scotia Capital, where she traded the Australian and New Zealand dollar and also completed institutional European currency sales. Prior to this, she worked at TD Bank on the commercial currency sales desk.
Ms. Swales earned an MBA from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto in 1997 and a graduate business diploma from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1992. She is a CFA charterholder with investment experience since 1992, and is a member of the CFA Institute and Toronto CFA Society.
Outside of work, Ms. Swales is an active member of her local community. She is currently on the Board of Governors and Finance Committee for the Crescent School Board. She has also held several volunteer positions in the past, including heading fundraising events for SickKids® Hospital in Toronto, as well as The Toronto Toy Tea and Trails Youth Initiatives. She was a past board member at Havergal College and treasurer for the Crescent Parent Association Board.
