Samir Taghiyev is a portfolio manager at Mawer Investment Management Ltd., which he joined in 2014. Previously, he completed internships at Ewing Morris & Co. Investment Partners and Sionna Investment Managers. He is co-manager of Mawer's Canadian Small Cap Strategy.

Mr. Taghiyev received his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto specializing in finance and economics. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
