Stanislav Lopata is an EAFE equity analyst at Mawer Investment Management Ltd., which he joined in 2009. 

From 2011-2016, he was a member of the Canadian equity team, which won a number of awards including the Morningstar Fund Manager of the Year. Between 2015-2020, Stas worked on the U.S. Equity Strategy and Global Equity Strategy, before moving on to help launch the EAFE Large Cap Strategy. 

Mr. Lopata completed the Advance Finance Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, the Advanced Leadership Program at the UBC Sauder School of Business, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance and economics from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. During his studies, he received the Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. Scholarship and the Canadian Millennium Excellence Scholarship for academic excellence, leadership, and innovation.

Mr. Lopata is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and holds a Chartered Investment Manager designation. He won the Toronto CFA Society Undergraduate Finance and Economics Scholarship Award.
