Craig Senyk, CFA, ICD.D

Craig Senyk is Board Chair at Mawer Investment Management, which he joined in 1997.  He currently also Chairs the firm’s Human Resources Committee and the Ownership Oversight Committee and is a member of the Governance and Nominating Committee and Risk Management and Audit Committee. Mr. Senyk is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) designation. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with distinction from the University of Alberta.
 
Mr. Senyk has held multiple roles during his tenure. He served as the firm’s President from 2019 until 2023 and as Vice Chair of Mawer’s Board of Directors from 2016 until 2023. He was Portfolio Manager of the Mawer Tax Effective Balanced strategy and Director of Portfolio Management, leading both institutional and individual business segments. He has been on Mawer’s Board of Directors since 2001.
 
In the community, he founded Craig Senyk Initiatives, which hosts the Jamboree for Charity and Concert for Classrooms in Calgary and Toronto.  He is also on the Board of the Calgary Stampede Foundation and the Business Council of Alberta and is past Chair of Theatre Calgary and past President of CFA Society Calgary. He has been recognized as one of Calgary’s Top 40 under 40 and has received the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, the Gary Slaight Humanitarian CCMA Award, and the Doc Seaman Outstanding Individual Philanthropist AFP Award.
