Eric Wetlaufer, BA

Eric Wetlaufer is a member of the Board of Directors at Mawer Investment Management Ltd. in an advisory capacity since June 2025. Eric is a seasoned investments and governance leader with over 40 years of experience, primarily in the public markets sector. He has held prominent leadership roles, including Group Chief Investment Officer (CIO), International at Fidelity Management & Research, where he oversaw $100 billion in international assets and managed a global team of 100 portfolio managers and analysts. Eric also served as a CIO at Putnam Investments, leading the U.S. Mid Cap and Specialty Growth Equities Groups with responsibility for over $50 billion in assets under management. His career includes successfully driving significant growth at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), where the Public Markets Department he led generated over $6 billion in “value add.” Upon his retirement from CPPIB in 2018, Eric founded and is currently a Managing Partner at TwinRiver Capital, an advisory platform that focuses on sustainability and Impact Investing.

Eric graduated with a BA, Earth Science from Wesleyan University. He currently serves on the boards of Investment Management Corporation of Ontario, and Enterra Solutions, LLC, and previously served on the boards of TMX Group Ltd. for nearly 13 years, and of Niyogin Fintech Limited for 5 years.
